What content can be used?
It's more than likely that much of your existing digital content is fine for presentation within poddealer with little or no modification. Since poddealer is compatible with most established formats of digital content, you can chose your preferred approach. What happens if there is no web connection?
If poddealer is unable to detect a connection it automatically displays alternative content and waits to update the next time it can sense a live connection. On computers that use a dial-up account to access the web, it will not force a connection, avoiding any unexpected cost to the user. If your target-user is behind a firewall, they can easily configure the application to negotiate the firewall safely and securely.
How should you distribute poddealer?
The best way is to make it available to download from your website or company Intranet. Alternatively, if you want to save users the trouble of downloading the application or prefer to distribute it with additional collateral material, you can consider presentation on CD-ROM. As a distribution bonus all users that already have it installed can use the 'send to a friend' functionality within the application itself to help you virally propagate the application to the widest possible audience.
